2 years after getting the 6280 it's still crashing on me daily. Upgrading to 3.81 only reduced the crashes from 4 a day to 2.
Why is 5.92 still not available to Three users?

Incidentally, unlocking a Nokia 6680 isn't as easy as unlocking the average mobile phone.

The newest phones from Nokia, such as the N-series and the 6680 are what are called BB5 phones. I'm not an expert on this, so I'm not sure exactly what this refers to, although I suspect it's the name of the encryption scheme used for the unlock process.

Right now, the only people that can unlock BB5 phones are Nokia themselves, and they'll only do this under the instruction of the original network, Orange. It's also apparently done by post, which is why it takes two weeks. Orange are, of course, happy to charge £20 for this operation.

To get through to Orange took a few goes. None of the normal options on 150 make sense, so I just went through the "Thinking of leaving Orange" option. They then told me to try options 1,4,1. I did so, and they had no idea why I was sent to them. However, they did redirect me to the right place. I can see why Orange don't exactly advertise this service, though.

While it's not inconceivable that someone will crack it before too long, I have no idea when it'll actually be achieved. Since I need to do this before my Orange contract runs out and my phone turns into a rather expensive and useless pumpkin, I'm willing to shell out the 20 quid.
