'Changing Your GP'

Most people need a new GP because they have moved house or because the old GP has moved, retired or died. A small proportion change because they are dissatisfied with the doctor. You can change GP without giving a reason, although the new GP is likely to ask why you no longer wish to be with your present doctor. You no longer need to ask your present GP for leave to register with a new GP. You can simply choose your new doctor, go along to the new surgery and ask to be registered as a patient.
