Most of these deal with specific health problems but there are two important generalist patient organisations: The Patients Association, PO Box 935, Harrow, Middx HA1 3YJ Tel:0181 423 8999 was established in 1963. It works towards giving patients a collective voice at government level, to professional bodies and in the media. It also runs an information service by telephone and letter.
