'Welcome our Birthday Party'

'Where are you now?'

Did you work or train in the NHS? Do you now live overseas? Or did you lose touch with someone who used to work in the health service?

Then come join us at our on-line birthday party - you can send messages to people you've lost touch with, the place where you worked, or - if you're feeling hungry - you can choose your birthday food from our special party menu.

You can also win a prize at the party by entering our search to find the most interesting anecdote from a former NHS employee now working outside the UK.

We're looking for stories with a difference which are connected to your work. Maybe you've provided healthcare while deep in the jungle , or maybe language difficulties meant you had trouble finding your place of work on the first day or provided humanitarian aid in a war zone. Whatever your story, we want to hear it and when we receive your replies we'll post flags of the locations on our world map.

We need to know who you are, where you trained/worked, where you are now and the relevant dates. The five most interesting replies will be featured in July on the website and you will receive a special limited birthday edition boxed set of images from the NHS 50 photographic exhibition 'NHS Now ...Towards the Future'. You have until 1 June 1998 to get your entries in.

We will post all replies on the 'where are you now' message board, so email us to take part. You never know, it could be you!

Enjoy the party!
