NHS Fellowships are to be made available for overseas health professionals who have an interest in learning from the experience of the UK National Health Service.
The Fellowships - which will each be of two weeks duration in June/July 1998 - will cover air travel to and from the UK, internal travel, living costs, and admission to the International Conference "All Our Tomorrows".
They will also include a practical placement with an NHS organisation, which will be designed to meet the needs of individual fellows.
NHS Fellowships are managed by The British Council, with professional advice provided by The University of Sheffield's School of Health and Related Research.
