We aimed high for this site and we got there....the site was given it's official launch at the top of one of the capital's highest buildings in February.

From the 34th floor of BT Tower in London, Liz Austin, who has worked fifty years in the NHS, sent the site live when she pressed the all-important button to bring the site into your homes and offices.

BT, as sponsors of the site, played host to the Secretary of State for Health, Frank Dobson, Minister for Public Health, Tessa Jowell, Chief Executive of the NHS, Alan Langlands, special guests who had worked 50 years in the NHS and members of the NHS 50 National Liaison Steering Group.
