All activities are underpinned by three central principles:
no money will be diverted from patient care, special activities will be self funding or supported by sponsorship the approach is not centralist, any individual group, within or outside the service, is encouraged to become involved in setting up or contributing to an initiative all initiatives will be in line with the aims of the NHS and will help to deliver its principal goals.
