The Earl's Court Motor Show opens and is the first show since the war to match the scale of pre-war exhibitions. British car firms have 32 stands and Morris introduces the Morris Minor as well as two new Wolseleys. However the British export drive makes it difficult for British customers to buy any of these new models.
