'Dentist'

'What do they do?' Dentists are responsible for the diagnosis, care and treatment of teeth and oral infections.

'Education and qualifications' Need high academic standards. A wide range of GCSEs plus three GCE A levels or equivalent, which should be in chemistry, plus two from maths, physics, biology and zoology (usually grades A and B).

'Training and qualifications' Five-year course in a university dental school followed by vocational training.
