'Prosthetist'

Prosthetists provide care and advice on rehabilitation for patients who have lost or were born without a limb, fitting the best possible artificial replacement.

'Educational and age requirements' Entry into degree course.

'Training and qualifications' Four-year BSc course in prosthetics and orthotics, consisting of three years academic teaching mixed with clinical tuition, and a fourth year with two six-month clinical placements, one orthotic and one prosthetic.
