'Speech and Language Therapist'

'What do they do?' Speech and language therapists work with people of all ages with communication and/or swallowing difficulties.

'Educational and age requirements' At least five GCSE subjects and a minimum of two GCE a levels or equivalent. English language, foreign languages, maths and science subjects preferred. Other entry qualifications also considered (BTEC, Access, GNVQ). Mature students assessed individually.

'Training and qualifications' Three or four-year degree through accredited university course. Two-year postgraduate diploma/Masters course.
