'Health Education/Health Promotion Officer'

'What do they do?' Health education/health promotion officers are involved in the planning and carrying out of policies, as well as education and training, publicity and information, research and evaluation and developing initiatives to promote good health and prevent disease.

'Educational and age requirements' Degree (in the field of biological social or behavioural sciences) and/or professional qualification and experience in such fields as nursing, health visiting, teaching, environmental health, social work or medicine, or a relevant Masters degree.

'Training and qualifications' One-year full-time post-graduate Diploma in Health Education.
